Can you take over support for an app or site someone else built?

Yes, this is most of what this page is for. I'll audit what's there honestly first: how it's built, what state the dependencies are in, and whether anything needs attention before I take it on, rather than agreeing to support something sight unseen.

What does a maintenance agreement actually cover?

Bug fixes, framework and dependency updates, security patches, hosting and performance monitoring, and small feature additions as they come up. Anything larger than a small feature gets scoped and quoted separately, so maintenance doesn't quietly turn into unpaid project work.

Do you charge a monthly retainer, or by the hour as issues come up?

Both are options, and which one fits depends on how active the project is. A retainer suits something that needs regular attention; ad hoc support suits something stable that occasionally needs a fix. I'll recommend whichever actually matches how much ongoing work the project needs.

What if my previous developer is unreachable and I need something fixed urgently?

Get in touch and I'll take a look. I can't promise a same-day fix on every codebase sight unseen, but I'll give you an honest read on what's wrong and how quickly it's realistic to resolve, rather than leaving you waiting on someone who's gone quiet.

Is this only for projects built in Laravel or React Native?

Those are my primary stack, so they're where I move fastest, but I'll audit most PHP, React or React Native codebases regardless of who built them originally, and tell you honestly if something's outside what I can properly support.
